From time to time I consider the idea of living outside the US. I think about living in Europe...either England, Spain, or France (though not so much France because they dislike Americans so very much), and, on occasion, Canada. Sometimes...I think about living in Scotland, or Ireland, but I think it's much colder in those places than the others. I research places, living expenses, and so on, and get this 'itch' to go for a year...2 years...3...maybe 5 years.
You kids are spread out now. Visiting is difficult for us with everyone living their own lives. So, would now be the time for me to do something like this?

I would say do what makes you happy, when you can do it! If not, the time might slip away and the chance may never arise again. Its like the story of the bubble that once was, if I hadn't chased it before it popped, I never would have experienced the joy. Once it popped I was left yearning, wanting, needing, almost relying upon more. However, I have managed to settle into society without chasing bubbles 24/7. Think about long term, health wise will you be able to sustain a trip of that extended nature without family? I say do it before the choice is out of your hands. Love you mother, take care and can't wait for you to be here for a lovely turkereffic day!!!!!
